#38 Tupiza Zone Christmas Party

The Tupiza Zone had a fun Christmas Party on Dec 10, 2012.
We drove to this area called Entre de Rios.  We parked above
by the white fence and hiked down to the river.
We had a barbecue down by the trees.  You can see the two
rivers coming together.  The Tupiza and San Juan de Oro rivers.
The San Juan de Oro is dirty and red from the rains and the
Tupiza is smaller and cleaner.
We had to wade  to get to our picnic spot.
Our great Zone Leaders, Elders Bilanzich from Utah and Avila
from Guatemala.
No one complained about having to cross the river.
The Zone Leaders did a great job cooking for us.  We had
beef steaks and chorizios from  Argentina.
We put out a blanket and ate baked potatoes with sour dream, steak,
french bread and watermelon.  Elders Bell, Chadwick, Hull and Benavides.
The Zone had matching T-shirts made.  Here we are the whole
Tupiza Zone.
The missionaries on the train track.  The track is still used by the trains.
This view of this mountain is looking up the Tupiza River.
Another view of this area.  There are some fields of flowers
and vegetables grown here.
We came back to our apartment and decorated sugar cookies.
We ended the evening watching a Christmas video on our computer
and each missionary received a small gift from President and Sister Dyer.
